If you’re here, chances are you’ve just received your shiny new login credentials for your Dabadu account and want a quick introduction to one of our key features: Identity Verification (IDV). Maybe you’re new to the system, or maybe you just want a refresher on the basics either way, you’re in the right place!
We’re excited to guide you through this feature, which helps you securely verify your customers’ identities, streamline onboarding, and keep your dealership running smoothly. Let’s dive in!
1. Accessing a Lead
You can initiate IDV for either an existing lead or a new lead you create manually.
A. Using an Existing Lead
1. Navigate to the Leads section.
2. Open the lead assigned to you using the Lead ID.
B. Creating a New Lead
1. Click Create Manual Lead.
2. Enter the following mandatory information:
• Name
• Phone Number
⚠️ Ensure the email and/or phone number is valid; invalid contacts will cause the communication to bounce.
2. Requesting Identity Verification
1. Open the lead and go to the Applications tab.
2. Scroll down to the Identity & KYC section.
3. Click Request Documents.
Communication Options
• Send via Email – Predefined template with a verification link.
• Send via SMS – Predefined template with a verification link.
• Send via Both – Email + SMS.
Optional: You can copy the verification link directly and provide it to the customer manually if they are present.
Dealers have the flexibility to choose the method that best suits their workflow.
3. Customer Experience
When the customer receives the link:
1. Open the link on a smartphone or computer.
2. Complete the following steps:
• Scan the front of their Driver’s License (DL)
• Scan the back of their Driver’s License
• Take a selfie
4. Viewing IDV Results
1. Navigate back to the Applications → Identity & KYC section in the lead.
2. The system will display a processed report.
3. You can:
• Review the verification checks
• See the reasons for any failed checks
• Print or download the report
5. Handling Failed Verifications
If a verification fails:
1. Contact the Support Team.
2. The Support Team will:
• Investigate the failure
• Remove the failed report
3. The customer can then reuse the same link to start the verification process again.
⚠️ This ensures a smooth retry without requiring a new lead creation or link.

• Always verify the contact details before sending the request.
• Predefined templates ensure proper instructions for customers.
• You can control how and when the customer receives the link (SMS, email, or manual).
